“Informed and Active Citizens of Europe”, funded through the Communication Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria for the EU

Working programme of the Communication Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria for the European Union for 2008

The objective of the programme is to initiate an active dialogue between representatives of the various strata of society and professional groups and associations concerning the opportunities and responsibilities of each citizen, conferred by the membership of Bulgaria in the EU, as a part of democracy and transparency in the decision-making process. 

Overall objective

The overall objective of the project is to popularize and elucidate the policy and practice of the EU with regard to the rights and duties of the citizens, among the people, living in the municipalities, members of RMA “Maritza”.

Specific objectives

-         To promote the rights and duties of the EU citizens among the people, living in the municipalities, members of RMA “Maritza”

-         To facilitate the public access to information, concerning the rights and responsibilities of the EU citizens

-         To stimulate the activity of the people in regard to searching of information about their rights and responsibilities as EU citizens

Target group

·        The citizens of the municipalities, members of Regional Municipalities Association “Maritza”.
